Recovery Diving

Search pattern

There are plenty of search pattern, but the following ones are the common ones.

  • Arc (Signalman stays on one point on the shore / anchored boat)
  • Box (Signalman follows diver, but on the shore)
  • Circle (Signalman stays on one point on the anchored boat)

Line signals

Line signals are only necessary without an audio connection between the recovery diver and the signalman, and as a backup plan if the audio connection fails. They are changeable, but should be defined between the recovery diver and the signalman before the dive.
